“already know” by MUANH

MUANH just dropped her latest indie pop track, “already know,” today, May 22, 2026.

“already know” benefits from its soft intro and heavy reverb that builds an ethereal atmosphere. In terms of pacing, this track rests in the range of smooth softness, and doing so provides a space for a lot of emotion to shine through. The soft, breathy vocals build into a dreamy atmosphere, and it does well at building on itself without ever feeling like it’s rushed or too much. Overall, it’s an introspective vibe that feels like floating through the clouds when listened to.

The percussion in this track has a softness that matches the track itself, and the way the notes and tones build in each aspect of the instrumentation maintains a full sound throughout. That being said, the fullness allows different sounds to float around and truly shine. There’s the addition of a sax sound that comes to more prominence at the end of the single, and it gives one last surprise before the track trails off towards its end. The way that ‘already know’ is composed keeps an entrancing pull from start to finish, and the way it adds and removes layers over time makes things captivating despite its more laid-back nature.

This single comes from the voice of a narrator who’s in a relationship that’s not outwardly expressed yet. They’re ready to take this connection to the next level and make it more public, but the person that they love seems to have hesitations. The chorus goes, “How long till we can let it show? / You know that I already know … I know that you already know.” This love seems to be building on both ends, a physical connection that’s sweet and soft, the feeling of another’s heartbeat on one’s chest. But, there’s a sense of yearning, a want for words unspoken to be spoken, though it isn’t quite there yet.
