“Talk Too Much” – Verøna

Many great vocalists and musicians have come from boy band roots. Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, and Harry Styles all managed to leave the group setting behind and fair more than well enough on their own. Of course, we cannot go any further without mentioning just one more, Verøna. He started popping on Over Atlantic in 2017. By 2019 he had moved onto RØYLS, and two years after that he’s gone solo and is still bringing pop goodness to the table with his latest, “Talk Too Much.”

When one presses play, “Talk Too Much” is reminiscent of a classic from Outkast, but as the song continues – Verøna’s pop meets indie meets R&B vibe takes over. From there, you can imagine yourself listening to this one as it is snuggled in between the likes of Justin Bieber’s later releases and some Shawn Mendes joints. That is all musically, lyrically “Talk Too Much” captures a particular situation some have come across in the dating realm and that is when you fall for someone a little too hard, and the thought of them becomes sort of consuming in a multitude of ways. Leaving a party just because they called for example being one of them.

Like Bieber, Verøna sets up his music on a plain that incorporates the fresh ways of hip hop tracks but paints over them with a pop glass that makes them shine in a different way. Those interested in checking out “Talk Too Much” can do so now because it is available on all major music and streaming sites.
