“Sugar and Spice” – Jocelyn & Chris

Music, like most of the food we like to treat ourselves with, is addicting – and all it often takes is a tiny bite. Which is all it really took for “Sugar and Spice” from Jocelyn and Chris Arndt. From the press of play, the need for this song is instant and something that listeners are going to continue to go back to over and over again.

These Harvard alumni siblings have released eight albums thus far and are back with their first release since the chaos of 2020 began with “Sugar and Spice.” With each listen, a layer of delicious sounds is unveiled and engulfed. Jocelyn and Chris come together in a way that is reminiscent of the days when artists like Jimi and Janis were headliners near and far. You can hear it in every motion from the soundscape they created together to the way Jocelyn’s vocals burst through like a wave on the Pacific. Every inch of your being, covered in her vocal prowess as she sings with not just heart, but conviction.

While modern music is great and does what it needs to do, there is something classically sound about the ‘70s and the music from that era that when you hear an artist from today able to master it – you are taken aback and instantly put under a musical haze of greatness. For those who want to be in that haze, check out “Sugar and Spice” from Jocelyn and Chris. It’s available now on all major music and streaming platforms.
