“Solo” – SHWAY

We had the pleasure of interviewing SHWAY, and here’s what he had to say:

Q: How long have you been making music?

SHWAY: I’ve been making music for 6 years now. I started Djing before producing and fell in love with the energy of dance music.

Q: How would you like listeners to respond to “Solo”?

SHWAY: I want people to have a connection to “Solo” the way I did when I first started hearing about the golden age EDM era. I want you to feel the emotion.

Q: In what way(s) would you say your sound has evolved over the years?

SHWAY: My sound has evolved by now incorporating more vocals that are fully written songs. It makes the story that the song tells connect more.

Q: Was there a pivotal moment in your life that set you on your path as a musician?

SHWAY: A big moment for me and my music career really came about in 2020. I lost someone close to me and it made me realize that life is short and my love was always for music. I’ve been committed ever since and it’s been the most rewarding experience.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about producing music?

SHWAY: I enjoy writing melodies. I like the way that a scale played a certain way can tell a story and invoke so much emotion.

Q: How has your 2023 been so far and what’s one thing you’re really looking forward to doing this year?

SHWAY: 2023 has been great. A new opportunity has recently fallen in my lap and if all goes right it can put me in the league I’ve always dreamed about.
