“Paperweight” – Tyche

If there is one thing love is going to do, it is inspire an artist to create. Whether it is a painting or a song, love has the power to move the creative mind in a variety of directions but it does not always have to be in a grand direction like Celine Dion’s epic, Titanic-sized Blockbuster of a single. Sometimes love songs can be these simplistic, melodious recollections of the tiny details that go into what makes us care so much for another. Which is exactly what “Paperweight” by Tyche is.

“Paperweight” starts off very much in the same wheelhouse as something you would expect from the likes of Colbie Caillat with that beachy singer-songwriter vibe. As this narrative that highlights the small things that show someone cares like doing dishes and handling laundry continues forward, the vibe of the song picks up a bit and we get more of this Latin meets soul fusion that carries us in the right direction. By the end, Tyche decide to crank things up to a ten and let loose. There are obvious levels to this song and each one allows for a listen that is anything but dormant.

Tyche dropped their debut single, “I Don’t Have Depression,” a year ago and since then have released a debut EP, ‘Run.,’ and a pair of brand new singles in 2022, including “Paperweight. To hear all of that and more, make sure to check out Tyche on all major music and streaming platforms today.
