“Just a Dreamer” – Isabelle Fries

On the brink of the biggest change of my life, pressing play on “Just a Dreamer” was way more cathartic than I was expecting it to be. So for anyone looking for some audible motivation to move forward with their life, this song is it.

“Just a Dreamer” is a simple song, but that is where the beauty resides. It does not need all the bells and whistles of modern-day pop songs to get its point across. Isabelle Fries approach to pop is demure, poetic, and charming as she relays this encouraging message to all those out there who may be scared and/or anxious about letting those dreams inside their head come to fruition.

“I’m casting my doubts away” is one of the first lines and from that, sets the tone of a song meant to inspire. The tale of the person behind this song is one that overcame whatever was holding them back, and now free – they can move towards not only the new life Isabelle Fries wonderfully harmonizes about but new opportunities as well. It was one of those songs I didn’t know I needed until it was placed in front of me; a form of much-needed musical therapy.

Isabelle Fries’ debut single “With a Bow” back in 2019 set the foundation for what was to come and since then this singer-songwriter has relied on honest lyrics and sweet sounds encased in indie pop joy. Those interested in jumping on this train, check out “Just a Dreamer” out now on all major music and streaming sites.
