“Fake Feelings” – Bethia

Every single time a song like “Fake Feelings” by Bethia comes into view, I’m instantly taken back to Spring 2014. I won’t mention the mistake’s name as he doesn’t deserve that much but everything this UK-based songstress is singing her heart out about, we have all felt. This makes it one of those songs that stings a bit, but the smooth combination of pop and R&B coming from Bethia’s direction helps to soothe the burn of a heart scorned.

Yes, finding that sweet intersection where pop and R&B come together in one harmonious moment, that’s the sweet spot one gets when they hit play on any and everything Bethia releases, including “Fake Feelings.” Even though the subject matter is a bit sour as it deals with the reality of realizing someone’s charm has been nothing but counterfeit, the song plays so well that you lose yourself in the vibe of it all. Those who listen to the likes of Ariana Grande and Jojo repeatedly will want to toss “Fake Feelings” onto their next playlist.

Bethia started making her lasting impression a handful of years ago when she dropped her debut EP, ‘Hit of Heaven.’ Since then she’s released two more EPs, as well as a plethora of singles that include “Should I Know Better,” “Safe Side,” and “Suits Me.” “Fake Feelings” is her first single since 2021’s ‘Pt. 2,” and many fans hope there is more on the horizon. To hear all of the above and more, make sure to check out Bethia on all major music and streaming platforms today.
