“Beautiful ” – Yana

What more can I say about “Beautiful” by Yana when the title says it all? For a while I was trying to figure out who Yana’s vocals reminded me of, and I came to the conclusion that it’s slightly reminiscent of Nai Palm from Hiatus Kaiyote; But Yana’s soft, calm soul singing gives such unique harmonies that isn’t reminiscent of anyone, but of a feeling. The delicate interplay of haunting melodies and heartfelt lyrics creates a vivid narrative, allowing us to navigate the intricacy of Yana’s emotions. Yana’s lyrics create a intimate composition that unveils a soul-baring journey through heartache and introspection. “Beautiful” transcends personal pain to become a symphony of resilience, and it captures the essence of vulnerability and strength, offering solace in its acoustic cadence. “Beautiful” is perfect for contemplative moments, like after the storm ends and you decide to go on a calm drive and see some sunlight peek through the stormy clouds.
