Q: Your electro-pop hits emit the perfect energy to break into a dance move. What do you look for in the vocal techniques of the singers you pull sounds from for your records?
PIB: I think that the vocals are the most important ingredient of a good track and it’s definitely what takes the most of my time to find good ones. I’m pretty simple in my approach: I need to like it within the first seconds, it has to be between a bpm range of 105 minimum to 130 maximum and most importantly it has to stand out and be singable without any instrumental.
Q: What inspires you to title your hits?
PIB: This is mostly the vocalist decision while rarely I might have a different idea.
Q: Most of your songs are about love. What is the main reason feelings of the heart are your focal point?
PIB: My focus or at least what I want to communicate from my music is positivity. I think that music can have a deep impact on your day (or night) and it’s one of the few elements in life that can have such a big impact on improving your wellbeing and improve your feelings. Love is obviously a big part of this theme. What I want is people to be happy and move while listening to our songs.
Q: Not only do you donate your streaming royalties to animal charities, but you are also the founder of the Pet Alert Network that has helped rescue over 2.5 million dogs and cats. Where does this admiration and kindness derive from?
PIB: As far as I remember, I was always surrounded with dogs and had an extreme dedication to them. I dedicated my work for them in my first part of my life and I created multiple services that improve their life (and their owners). They are my passion, I have two dogs, cats, parrot and I spend all my time with them. They inspire me, they are 100% loyal and 100% kindness, no matter what. That’s why I think that animals need more respect in their lives, and I will always try to help them and contribute in any way to make their life better.
Q: The beat drops at the most precise times in your hits like Es Vedra Energy, Luvstruck and Thinking of You. How do you organize your beat patterns?
PIB: I’m a big fan of 2010’s edm era with SHM, Guetta, Nicky Romero, Hardwell etc and I like to follow those unfamous progressive patterns. I really like to build up the excitement until the drop that needs to drive you crazy on the dancefloor. Most recently, I found myself going into more pop vibes with less of this progressive dance pattern, I have 2 tracks ready that I will release after the summer with that new direction.
Q: Being from Ibiza, a capital city for EDM music. Do you like to be in the crowd of music festivals, or would you prefer performing?
PIB: I definitely prefer to produce and/or perform than being in the crowd.
