“HOLD ON” by ill peach

Q: I loved the songwriting and powerful vocal performance! What’s the inspiration behind “Hold On”?

ILL PEACH: We produced and recorded it up in a cabin in this small mountain town in California. It was at a time when I felt numb or didn’t feel much at all so I turned to my relationship for a life jacket hoping it would get me out of that feeling. That theme felt hyper-dramatic enough that it felt like it could fit the show. And it did.

Q: What did you enjoy most about making this song?

ILL PEACH:  A few friends of ours and us stayed at this cabin all week to make music. The cabin method is always our preferred method.

Q: I see “Hold On” was played in Ginny & Georgia Season 2 Episode 3. How did it feel having your song added to the soundtrack?

ILL PEACH: Pretty insane. To be honest, we really knew nothing about the show and then we saw how it was trending on Netflix. We got all these crazy messages from fans of the show asking about the song. Then we put it out. So it actually wasn’t even released when the show first came out.

Q: How did the both of you initially come together to form ill peach?

ILL PEACH: When we were living in New York we were writing and producing for other artists and after some time we wanted to try doing something different so we started writing for ourselves. We moved to LA and formed ill peach.

Q: What projects are currently in the works?

ILL PEACH: WE are about 90% finished with the debut album.

Q: Is there anything you’d like to say to your supporters?

ILL PEACH: Appreciate the love and go out and do something that makes you feel uncomfortable.
