“Like This” by Lloren

“Like This” by UK singer-songwriter and producer, Lloren was released on January 19th. This wonderful burst of euphoric pop melodies with a fantastic build is sure to have a powerful effect on listeners. We had the pleasure of interviewing Lloren, and here’s what she had to say:

Q: “Like This” has this smooth progression and lovely lyricism that makes it easy to sing along! What was your creative process in making this song?

LLOREN: I was in LA for a writing trip and it was my first session, I was so tired after no sleep and found myself working with an amazing producer Anna Shulze, She started building some beautiful instrumentation that captured exactly the sound I’ve been going for, I felt so heard and enthused that and the new melody and lyrics just came to me very easily, I was running off coffee and adrenaline, but honestly It felt like we were making magic in there that I ended up coming out energised.

Q: What did you enjoy the most about making this song?

LLOREN: Finding the different sounds, I was looking for something really specific, quite retro but euphoric.

Q: Was there a pivotal moment in your life when you decided to follow your path as a musician?

LLOREN: I think it’s something I’ve always known. I always sang, but there was a bit of an aha moment in 2018 when I reached the finals of a well-known TV show, I ended up realising this is the thing I am made for and only this, and I got a real taste for it.

Q: What would you be doing right now, if you weren’t a musician?

LLOREN: Probably an interior designer, or an author, defiantly something creative.

Q: What would you say is the best advice you’ve been given since you decided to pursue this career path?

LLOREN: Opinions are just that, go with what you like.

Q: What projects are currently in the works?

LLOREN: I have a number of songs set for release and a music video coming out very soon
