“I Won’t Say I Love You” – Josh Olsen

The reality of heartbreak, and sometimes betrayal, can lead a person to build thick walls around themselves. That fear of getting hurt again causes them to be on guard, even when it seems like the perfect person has entered the picture. Josh Olsen went ahead and captured those sentiments in song with “I Won’t Say I Love You” from his latest release, ‘The Beginning of the End.’

Josh Olsen captured a lot of the ins and outs of love and love gone awry on his latest EP, but “I Won’t Say I Love You” opens the record with a sort of ‘90s college alt-rock feel that softens into a more pop-rock moment that you’d head on playlists alongside the likes of heavy hitters and arena mainstays like Matchbox Twenty and Maroon 5; reminiscent of what Vh1 would play in their rotation back before they became a reality TV destination. The vibe of the music pulls you in, but it’s those lyrics that keep you coming back, especially if you’ve been in a similar situation, which, who hasn’t?

Delivering songs that are as universal as the love for the late, great Betty White, Josh Olsen relays the twists and turns of love, and if that’s what you like with some pop-rock, then this music is highly recommended.

‘The Beginning of the End’ is available now and features half a dozen tracks including “I Won’t Say I Love You” and “Sex With a Stranger.” Those interested in checking out all Josh Olsen has to offer and then some can do so by heading to any and all major music and streaming sites now.
