Adeline’s latest single “Whisper My Name” is a soulful track that will have you swaying from the first guitar riff. The talents of this singer, songwriter, and bass player are all showcased in this optimistic and upbeat song that’ll make you feel the warm breeze of a summer evening even if you’re sitting on your couch in the middle of winter.
With a flashy drum beat and an intricate bass line, you are lead in to the warm, riff-filled opening of the song. The production is clean and classic; you can hear each instrument in its natural form as if you’re listening to it from the front row at a late-night club. The raw instrumentation perfectly supports Adeline’s rich and soulful voice as she harmonizes in a whisper-like tone. The lyrics are confident and romantic as she sings “I know you feel the same, it’s just as clear as day”. The structure of the song is slightly loose leaving room for unexpected surprises that give the song a flowy, almost improvised edge.
Having spent years in the music industry as the lead singer of the band Escort as well as playing bass in CeeLo Green’s band on tour, Adeline released her EP Intérimes in June of 2020. “Whisper My Name” is the lead single off of her follow-up EP that will be released later in 2021. With her incredible voice, classically raw production, and vibrantly soulful sound, it won’t be long before everyone is whispering Adeline’s name.
