“When We Love” – LZRD feat. Sam Tinnesz

It has been about two hours since I pressed play on “When We Love” by LZRD featuring Sam Tinnesz, and I am just now able to get some words down about it. Why? Well, it’s hard to type when you’re grooving THAT hard to a song you know would have been on your Spotify Wrapped list for 2021 if it’d come out even a week prior. Alas, I’m sure it’ll be in many top 5’s come 2022 because it is undeniable – to say the least.

However, I’ll go on to say the most because wow. Just wow. I’m usually not the hugest fan of music like this but LZRD has turned me into one. His future bass beats teamed with Sam Tinnesz’s vocals? Talk about a match made in musical heaven. There were so many layers to this song that each listen allowed me to unravel more and more, and by the end, I was engulfed in this wonderfully crafted piece of music put on display in front of me as it has a sound message to it and that is the power that love has in this world. Something we need to be reminded of, especially after the whirlwind of the past couple of years.

Now that I’m on the LZRD train, I dove into what else this fellow Virginian (okay, I just got here) had going on and I’m sad I was late to this party. From “Anytime” to “By My Side,” all great. It’s no wonder his music has been streamed well over 150 million times thus far, and I’m sure that number will grow immensely with the release of “When We Love.” You can hear it now on all major streaming and music platforms, as well as in the trailer for ‘The Hating Game,’ which is out December 10th.
