“Waking Up” by Denson Camp

“Waking Up” is a song to get lost in. Denson Camp really achieves touching the different realms of the human identity within his newest release.

This song is gentle, confident, and emotional in all the best ways. I was deeply invested in every word of the lyrical journey and felt as if I was in a room with Denson Camp hearing it for the first time.

The subtle yet intentional production choices accompany the words well. Denson Camp showcases his raspy vocal range in a beautiful way, reminding his listeners that vocals can be their own instrument. I loved the way this song made me feel after listening. It was like being hugged by a good friend. Warm, nostalgic, and loved.
