“TIMEZONE” by Olivia Lunny

Canadian pop powerhouse Olivia Lunny has created an effortlessly captivating song, “TIMEZONE,” which she released on April 14th. It is an infectious song ready to become a summer banger. Lovers in long-distance relationships might consider adding this song to their playlist. We had the pleasure of interviewing Olivia Lunny, and here’s what she had to say:

Q: I read that you’ve been making music since you were 12. What got you into music?

LUNNY: Growing up, music was always playing in my household. So many of my childhood memories revolved around music (going to concerts, long road trips, etc). When I was 12, I asked my dad to teach me a few chords on guitar. The rest is history!

Q: Which instrument would you like to learn? Why?

LUNNY: I’d Love to learn drums. They truly drive music in a live setting. I played my first show a few months back with a 4 piece band, and the drummer added so much energy and vibrance to the set!

Q: How long did it take to create “TIMEZONE”? Can you describe what a typical recording session for this song was like?

LUNNY: The demo of “TIMEZONE” was written and recorded in about 4 hours. With that demo, I took it to my long-time collaborator (exclap) and we reworked the verses and he produced the song out! It’s common for me to write songs in one day/session, then revisit them weeks later!

Q: What would you like listeners to take away from this song?

LUNNY: The beautiful thing about music is songs are up for interpretation. I hope fans can listen to this song and feel the positive fun vibes! It’s out just in time for summer and I hope people can blast it with the windows down and dance to it!

Q: What is one thing you’re really looking forward to achieving musically this year?

LUNNY: Continuing to grow my fanbase. It’s a very cool thing when your music reaches people from far and wide. I’m excited to keep playing shows and touring to have my music heard by as many people as possible! ^.^
