“Stay” – Evan Sakuni

What is there to say about “Stay” by Evan Sakuni that you wont feel while you’re listening to it? Sakuni gives you intensity, dramatics, and that’s only just highlighting the chorus’ melodic structure. The lyrics lets the listener wade through the tumultuous landscape of love and desire, and invites us to embrace Sakuni’s raw vulnerability. The energy this song gives off is like pages that were ripped from Sakuni’s personal diary, exposing the paradoxical pull of a toxic relationship that, despite its destructive nature, is too irresistible in its allure for Sakuni. Add to the fact that his vocals are reminiscent of the Weeknd, this song is definitely meant for those late sultry nights; where decisions made might’ve been wrong, but felt so right.
