“Pure” – Gabby Poli

“Pure” by Gabby Poli transported me to a place that smells like Tahiti nights and beachy days with a hint of sunscreen wafting in the air. This neo-soul singer uses jazzy influences in her vocal inflections which really rounds out her sound in such a beautiful way. “Pure” is literally pure sunshine in 3 minutes and 43 seconds. When I first turned this on, it felt like my hips had a mind of its own and immediately started swaying to her sultry vocals. But when that bossa nova BEAT came on?? I thought I woke up in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro!! I definitely recommend listening to Poli’s song, Pure, if you need a pick me up and a quick vacation from your current drabby realities.
