“Psycho” – E.V Palmer

The internet has been both a blessing and a curse all rolled up into one. On one hand, we’re able to stay connected despite everything from distance to pandemics. However, our obsession with the nonsensical side of it can be a bit much, especially when it comes to social media and relationships. E.V Palmer, the UK-based sensation who has already made waves on BBC, explores the darker side of social media in her latest, “Psycho.”

I mean, who hasn’t gone a little crazy over social media? It can and often is a black hole dominated by endless scrolling. Sometimes you don’t even know how you wound up looking at your ex’s family vacation pictures because an hour prior, you were Googling a recipe for veggie soup. That’s how insane our minds can be sometimes when it comes to social media, and E.V Palmer didn’t shy away from that commonality we sadly all share nowadays in her third single of 2021.

“Psycho” stands out from her previous releases from this year because while “Another Way” and “Don’t Know How to Say Goodbye” were these booming ballads that highlighted her vocal prowess, her latest single comes through with more electro-inspired pop elements. In hindsight, it sounded like something Demi Lovato could have released being that E.V Palmer has powerful pipes like them, but can deliver a pop banger as well that highlights the highs and often low points of relationships and life.

Those who’d like to check out more from E.V Palmer, including “Psycho,” can do just that because all of her music is available now on all major music and streaming sites.
