“PAYRI$E” – Greta Isaac

“Cash, credit, check.”

Greta Isaac is an artist that has a clear vision of what she wants both in life and musically. With a style that screams avant-garde realness, and a sound delivers an eclectic amalgamation of pop, alternative, electronic. All of that rolled into one makes for one great visual in the music video for her latest single, “PAYRI$E.”

Putting your time and effort into a relationship can oftentimes feel like a job, so why not be monetarily compensated for it? That’s the basis for this inspired pop song from Greta Isaac. “PAYRI$E” is unapologetic every step of the way as the vibrant pop acts as the base with sturdy walls of electronic breakdowns, and a rocking delivery of “I can’t take it anymore” that is very reminiscent of something one would hear from Paramore. So yes, a lot is going on in “PAYRI$E,” but it all works together. The sort of rebellious mentality of the track also works well with the video as a whole as Greta Isaac is such a standout, the video didn’t need much else other than herself serving up a sweet yet brash performance from start to finish.

The video for “PAYRI$E” comes at the heels of Greta Isaac’s big headline show at BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders’ Hopscotch club night in early April. It’s also the fifth single from her upcoming May 2022 EP, ‘I Think You’d Hate It Here.’ The EP will be released just in time for her shows at The Great Escape. A lot of plates are spinning for Greta Isaac at the moment, and she’s handling them with ease.
