“Ocean in Me” by Sixten

Sixten starts “Ocean in Me” off with her soft yet restrained vocals, grabbing the listener into their musical journey from the first five seconds. The vocal dynamics are something to mention with this one. Sixten’s vocal harmonies are powerful and mesh together like they were meant to be one.

The production is simple but brilliant. They incorporate a dynamic electric guitar solo after the second chorus that really gives the song a new meaning.

This song is about feeling the deep connection that a great love brings you. Although the codependency is not always a positive thing, they sing to the honesty of how good that feels. With lyrics like, “You’re an ocean in me / push me out / pull me in / we know the right thing would be / to let me go / set me free”, the listener can really feel the emotion in this one.
