“Nobody Listens To Me!” – Francisco Martin

“When I wake up I feel useless.”

Now, that is a mood. Especially after the past couple of years cycling what feels like the same level of chaos daily, Francisco Martin captures a reality we’ve all experienced with his latest single, “Nobody Listens To Me!”

There is something about “Nobody Listens To Me!” that felt like the mid-2000s to me. It could’ve been the angst in which the Los Angeles-based artist burst through those choruses, or perhaps it was the way that hook-wise this was like the modern-day version of Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag.” Whatever the case, it was that familiarity that made me want to go and listen to more from Francisco Martin. “Nobody Listens To Me!” differs from the simple, heartfelt ways of his previous release, “IF U NEED ME.” It is clear that what you get from Francisco Martin is a layered performer who never fails with expressive, meaningful performances.

The world first got a taste of what Francisco Martin was about back in 2020 when he made it to the top 5 on ‘American Idol’ and later dropped his first couple of singles, including “Swollen.” Since then he’s provided more on that front, as well as his debut EP. Now he’s ready to follow that up with the highly anticipated follow-up, ‘Manic.’ The EP will feature half a dozen songs including the lead single, “Nobody Listens To Me!”
