“Lola” – Fet’s Luck

The name might make you do a double take but the music will definitely make you stay. Fet’s Luck tells it’s audience a story filled with memories, reminiscent yearning, and psychedelic rock on an indie backdrop in “Lola.” The lyrics starts their story with the protagonist committing to be “Lola’s” partner despite both of them pursuing different, unexplored horizons. However, the protagonist is essentially promising “Lola” that no matter where they go, no matter what they do, they will always be there with her. That type of dedication and loyalty is so heartwarming, it definitely is a contrast to the trippy but really electric instrumentals, but that’s the beauty of this song. It will make you feel like you are dancing with the love of your life in a high school 80s prom scene but in an alternative rock universe.
