“Help Me Forget” – Nikolai Berk

Whether it is eating a pint of ice cream or deleting their existence from your socials, everyone has a post-breakup tradition they like to follow. For Nikolai Berk, it is popping on the Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet must-see cult classic, ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.’ Only the end of the singer’s most recent relationship took such a toll that no movie could ease the pain and all Nikolai wanted to do was extract that person from their memory entirely. This then led to what could be the next breakup playlist-must, “Help Me Forget.”

In the same way Ariana Grande is able to combine R&B baselines with a contemporary style, so does Nikolai Berk in “Help Me Forget.” It’s this mid-tempo tale that unfolds to reveal the highs and lows of a relationship soured by an end one didn’t want. Being that parting ways and feeling a certain type of way that leaves one in their feels, this song is as universal as can be. Once that chorus hits, you can imagine a venue full of hearts once left broken coming together in unison to heal together through song.

Nikolai Berk has been dropping impressive tracks since 2020 when he delivered the ever-stylish “National Treasure.” Since then Nikolai has been steady and ready with one great single after the other, with “Help Me Forget” being his most recent to display what he can do. His second single of 2021 is available now on all major music and streaming platforms.
