T.S. Tadin has just released their latest single “Eye for an Eye” today, September 18, 2026.
“Eye for an Eye” is an indie rock track that immediately jumps out with its crisp, buzzy guitar, then a driving kick-drum beat and vocals cut in to control its pacing. This track has a lot of focus on the vocals, and they’re raspy and soft, but still produced to the forefront. Also, it does well with a back-and-forth. At some points, the vocals are the focal point, but they’re cut between by instrumental bits that give more focus on the guitars playing intricate lines. There’s enough reverb to give an aspect of dreaminess, but it’s still crisp and snappy. Additionally, it does well at slowly building, as it adds more instrumental elements while it moves forward. “Eye for an Eye” refuses to be stagnant, and this stands out more and more as it shifts to give different sounds focus.
Lyrically, Tadin has crafted something poetic and cryptic. This is one of those songs that’s written in a way that forces the listener to read between the lines. For example, the second verse contains the lyrics, “This love is holding on to me / Like an island to the sea of boiling blood / All except for the sharp sting / Has been replaced with a dull aching thud.” It seems to be about love and pain, heartbreak, perhaps. The depictions show that with love comes pain, and the chorus sounds like it adds an aspect of a relationship that’s rushing toward mutual annihilation, an eye for an eye. That being said, there’s that lingering of love that causes one to keep holding on.
“Eye for an Eye” is intricate, musically and lyrically, and since it was just released, now is a perfect time to explore its sound!
