“Down We Go” – Spoke

The year was 1992 when Tim Burton’s ‘Batman Returns’ owned the box office, ‘The Larry Sanders Show’ premiered on HBO, and R&B was all the rage on the US charts. It was also the year Spoke began his DJing career performing wherever he could, when he could in places like depths of the woods overseas, a world away from the US where EDM and House were still underground and far from mainstream. Of course, the turn of the 21st century saw those genres being more and more incorporated into Top 40 hits. Today, Spoke’s “Down We Go” could rightfully be a #1 hit in the US.

Spoke spent a great deal of his career remixing tracks that made their way around the world, but over a decade ago he stepped away. In 2020, Spoke decided it was time to get back into the swing of things and proved that he still had it in him with the release of “One More Shot.” Since then he’s dropped a handful of new music, including the infection “Down We Go.” Those expecting a House track that just plays with beats, think again because Spoke brings the beats that are accompanied by a great pop vocal that will help this be a club favorite from Switzerland to the US and back.

So much about the world has changed since Spoke started his journey back in 1992, that includes the reach and popularity EDM and House music has had. Today, we hear the genres incorporated in every other genre under the sun but for those who want it in its purest form from someone who has been doing it for years can check out Spoke and his music on all major music and streaming sites now.
