“Devil’s Work” – ANDI

Like many, I spent the past week watching the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things.’ Probably their best since the first for a multitude of reasons. One of which I was reminded of while listening to “Devil’s Work” by ANDI. Both the hit Netflix series and the latest from ANDI explore the ins and outs of mental health and act as reminders of how important it is to speak up.

In ‘Stranger Things’ a demon of sorts preys on those with some sort of trauma or insecurity in their life while ANDI points to real-life devils that can make us get inside our heads about everything from who we love to what we look like. ANDI displays a wide variety of situations people often find themselves in, and different scenarios that go on daily in our lives. Sadly, many are going to be able to attach themselves to at least one, or know someone who is mirrored in “Devil’s Work.” The bright side though is that ANDI is lamenting about the issue at hand, and offering audible solace.

Art has always reflected the world, and right now while the music may sound great, the messages hold a lot of sadness. More and more each day, artists like ANDI are singing with every fiber in their being about mental health and not just for entertainment purposes. “Devil’s Work” is relaying a message that we’re all hurting in our own way, but offering some hope to say, “just breathe for a second.”

ANDI has been non-stop since dropping her debut single, “Everyone’s the Same.” Since then she’s released over a dozen singles including “Over,” “Life’s Not Like The Movies,” and “Made Up Story.” To hear all of the above and more, make sure to check out ANDI on all major music and streaming sites today.
