“Cracks” – Dustin Averbuch

“Cracks” by Dustin Averbuch is a beautiful agglomeration of synchronistic sounds that might bring tears to your eyes, depending on what emotional state you are in (and how deep the music sticks to your bones). Averbuch’s vocals is like a stormy, haunting, acoustic folk version of Chris Martin’s (from Coldplay) vocals. The way he does key shifts only adds to the sultry musical allure that gestures out to you softly. The violin instrumentals paired with the vocals create a very otherworldly feel to the song. However the lyrics are very a solemn, stark reminder of the reality that Averbuch faces in his music.
