“Brother” – KING LX

As someone who is a Lisa Simpson forever stuck between two Barts, I have to say that “Brother” by KING LX made me fall into my feelings upon first listen. Then I stripped it back, revealed the layers, and realized – brothers are not just our blood-related, DNA connections. They are the people who are with us whether we’re laughing or crying. They’re the dedicated ones who stick by.

With that, “Brother” is one of those songs that will hit anyone in the heart when they hear it because no matter what – we all have that sort of ride-or-die person in our lives who we can always count on to answer the phone at 3am. KING LX puts that type of relationship on display for all to hear on a beautiful platter as the lyricism is the appetizer, but it’s those pipes that come as the main course. KING LX gives everything you want when craving R&B. There is heart, there is soul, and there are even a bit of gospel-inspired moments that make you wave your hands in the air and praise the music. All of the above and then some are what come together to make “Brother” a grand listening experience.

KING LX has been busy the last couple of years with singles like “Better” and “Universe” catching the attention of many in the industry, and this year he decided to crank up the volume. Not only with “Brother” but a debut EP. ‘Certified Sessions’ dropped in place earlier this year, and to hear that, “Brother,” and more – make sure to check out KING LX on all major music and streaming sites today.
