“Breakthrough” – Kenzie Elizabeth

“Breakthrough” by Kenzie Elizabeth is like a whimsical rollercoaster of flourishing harmonies, with twists and turns at every key change. Her vocal stylings are reminiscent of Florence and The Machine or folk-band PHOX; very light and airy but still there’s power behind her singing. I feel like I could hear “Breakthrough” in a musical on Broadway or even in big Hollywood blockbuster film!! The lyrics are also very gut-punch worthy, as we see Elizabeth navigate the tumultuous waters of self-doubt and uncertainty, seeking solace in the hope of a brighter tomorrow. This anthem serves as a beacon of hope for anyone grappling with their own demons, offering reassurance that even in the darkest moments, there is always the possibility of redemption and renewal.
