“Better With You” – Veronica Fusaro

It was hard to feel any sort of creative rush during the earlier part of the pandemic. A global setback unseen in modern times. Many of us sat staring at the blue haze of screens both big and small just trying to make it to the next day. However, once the shock of it all wore off and the dust settled – for the most part – we allowed ourselves to create once more. For me, it was diving deeper into baked goods, but for Veronica Fusaro, it was allowing her musical muse to take hold again. In her “first real love song,” Veronica expressed how great it felt to pen “Better With You.” But as great as it felt for her to work on, it feels even better to enjoy as a listener.

There’s something utterly charming about the way Veronica Fusaro’s vocals coincide with the lighthearted music that makes up “Better With You.” It is a song reminiscent of earlier Sheryl Crow and Colbie Caillet’s ‘Coco,’ as it has this singer-songwriter in the sun feel that makes you want to listen with an ice-cold drink in hand as the summer breeze washes over you. What makes this song sing though is the way it feels simple. Veronica doesn’t over embellish her delivery nor does the music ever take control. Everything is aligned in a way that comes across effortlessly, making for a satisfying listening experience through and through.

“Better With You” is a taste of what’s to come later this year in the form of a debut album. With a promise of a fall release, anticipation is in the air. For those who want to indulge more in what Veronica Fusaro has done thus far and hear more of her latest single, make sure to check her out on all major music and streaming platforms today.
