“Almost Had It Good” by Jenny Kern

“Almost Had It Good” is a well rounded Indie-pop ode to a past relationship. Jenny Kern creates a powerful lyrical journey for the listeners to fall into. She surrounds her words by a dynamic production of soft beats and vocal riffs that take the lyrics to a new level.

By the second verse, she really taps into her second register vocally and it ties in beautifully with the story she’s trying to tell.

I loved the way this song shaped up and thought the honesty behind the words really helped turn this song from a ballad to a pop banger.
