“Sunday Morning ” – Reblah

Listening to “Sunday Morning” by Reblah feels so sexy, kind of the type of groove you would turn on while getting ready for sunday brunch with the homies. When you really get into the lyrics, this song is more than just a turn-up feel good grove, it’s a poetic flourish of metaphors, comparing love to things like the colors of roses and violets, or smiles to paradisiacal landscapes. Another thing I was really impressed by is how the rap elements within this Afro-R&B song really allows the rap elements to shine on its own. Reblah develops multiple rhythmic heartbeats throughout this song. The repeated phrases “It’s you babe” gives this song intimacy, also showing the listeners the artist has a insatiable craving for love. It’s a really sultry, grown song to vibe out to with your bae, by yourself, or a group of music-loving lovers!!
