“Now Only Me” – Wong Diane

“Now Only Me” by Wong Diane has a relatable darkness that brings the listener in with every key change. Reminiscent of Billie Eilish, the softness of Diane’s vocals clash with the somberness of her lyrics. It is almost like you are listening to a peaceful, sad lullaby about the feeling of loneliness when you are in a relationship that isn’t fulfilling emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Yearning and hoping for your person to do the right thing for you and eventually realizing they wont is the most heartbreaking thing one can go through. However, Diane allows the listener to sit in those feelings and comforts them by letting them know it might be better to be by yourself and everything will eventually be okay.
