“No Angel” – Alyssa Suede

“No Angel” by Alyssa Suede is such a quirky, upbeat pop song, it will almost entice you to the point of forgetting the core of the lyrics, which is a story of disillusionment and betrayal. Suede tells a story of a failed romantic relationship and reflects on the hurt and disappointment caused by her partner, who initially seemed sweet and promising but turned out to be deceitful and dishonest. This upbeat song has the vibe of a woman in Paris (thanks to the un, deux, trois in the beginning) who finds out her lover is untrue to her, and she finally decides to see past the love she has for him and walks through the Parisian streets with clarity on her mind and mixed feelings of happiness and sadness. If you are into cute 60s-70s inspired bops, then “No Angel” is perfect for you!!
