“Dark with You” by Spoke

“Dark with You” by talented Swiss artist Spoke is an upbeat house song with a catchy melody and infectious beats that will make you want to throw your hands in the air and just have a good time. We had the pleasure of interviewing Spoke, and here’s what he had to say:

Q: I love how upbeat “Dark with You” sounds! At what point did you decide on the beats and how did you go about creating it?

SPOKE: Thanks for diggin’ the upbeat vibe of “Dark with You.” When I started working on this track, I knew I wanted to create something that captures the joy and celebration of summertime. So I started with some piano chords that had a joyful and festive feel to them and built the rest of the track around that. The result is a blend of uplifting melodies and energetic beats that I hope will get people dancing and feeling good.

Q: What did you enjoy the most about making this song?

SPOKE: What did I enjoy most about making this song? Well, I gotta say, there’s nothing quite like seeing your vision come to life. From the early stages of production to putting the finishing touches on the vocals, it’s a journey, man. And when you finally hear it all come together, it’s like nothing else in the world. That’s the magic of music.

Q: What effect would you like this song to have on listeners?

SPOKE: I want this track to be a straight-up party anthem, man. I want people to hear it and feel like they’re right in the middle of the hottest club, surrounded by good vibes and good people. It’s all about letting go and having a good time, and I hope this track can be the soundtrack for that.

Q: What’s your favorite memory from the time you spent as a globally-touring DJ during the height of the electronic music boom?

SPOKE: Favorite memory from my time as a globally-touring DJ during the height of the electronic music boom? Oh man, there are so many good ones. But if I had to pick, I’d say one night I played at an after-hours club in Melbourne during a tour of Australia. The energy in the room was electric from the moment I started playing, and with each track I dropped, the crowd’s euphoria just kept building and building. I felt this incredible connection with the club and the people there – it was like we were all part of one big, beautiful dance party. It was a truly magical experience, and every time I think back on it, I still get chills.

Q: What drives you to make music?

SPOKE: What drives me to make music? It’s all about the energy, man. When I’m in the studio, I’m imagining people dancing and feeling the music deep in their souls. There’s nothing like that connection, that energetic exchange that happens between the crowd and the DJ. It’s like we’re all part of this one big organism, pulsing and moving to the beat. And when I create music, I’m trying to tap into that energy and create something that people can connect with on a deep, visceral level. It’s an incredible feeling when you see people moving and feeling your music, and that’s what keeps me coming back for more.

Q: What is one thing you’re really looking forward to achieving musically this year?

SPOKE: Well, I’m always striving to push my limits and explore new sounds. I’m excited to collaborate with some talented vocalists and producers and see where our creativity takes us. And of course, I’m looking forward to sharing “Dark with You” with the world and seeing how people react to it. The journey never stops, man.
