“fall for anything” – Lexie Carroll

There was a lot to love about the 2007 hit, ‘Juno.’ Obviously, Elliot Page’s performance was stellar but it was that final scene where he covered The Moldy Peaches alongside Michael Cera that cemented that film in my heart. That scene came to mind while I listened to “fall for anything” by Lexie Carroll as this song felt like one of those indie pop darlings that worm their way into the hearts of all who hear.

Unlike “Anyone Else But You,” “fall for anything” paints a very different dynamic between two people. That instance where you feel like you’re doing everything right, and the other person is just standing there with less emotion on their face than the animals in 2019’s ‘The Lion King.” Unresponsive as you put in the effort, you start to doubt every action on your part. Lexie Carroll delivers these sentiments with this sort of charming hesitance that results in a pretty endearing listen that makes you want to come back for more.

Lexie Carroll noted “fall for anything” is a new side of her creative journey. One involving more of an indie meets pop sound, and it’s definitely paid off. It’s her latest single following “if i built my home from paper” and an EP. All of this new music is her first since debuting in 2020 with “Paint Me in Colours.” To hear all of the above and more, make sure to check out Lexie Carroll on all major music and streaming sites today.
