“All the Rest” – Melanie Wehbe

The other day I sat down and was in my head about the usual; comparing my downfalls to the many, many highs others seem to have around me. Then I pressed play on the latest by Melanie Wehbe and had to walk away for a minute from “All the Rest” because when I tell you I cried, I’m far from lying. This song is necessary for those whose minds tend to wander to their own “usual” disarray, and for those who need musical motivation to make it through one more day.

Melanie Wehbe comes armed with a vocal performance that fails to lose control of the situation at hand. Musically, “All the Rest” is vibrant, and gives way to a great deal of movement. There is no lack of electropop-inspired arrangements here, but being that the lyrics come from an inspired place, you get a song that can both move you inward and outward. Not an easy thing to do, but Melanie Wehbe succeeds here. When all was said and done I thought this would be the perfect song to place next to the likes of VINCINT’s “Save Myself.” Both are rooted in upbeat musical moments but have powerful, encouraging messages. Messages that I, and many others, really need right now.

“All the Rest” is Melanie Wehbe’s second single of 2022, following the cinematic pop-powerhouse, “Like I Do.” The Swedish singer has been releasing music since her 2016 debut, “Wasted.” Since then she’s released a handful of singles including “Nothing” and “Shy.” To hear all of the above and more, make sure to check Melanie Wehbe out on all major music and streaming sites today.
