“Warm” – Moncrieff

It’s hard for me to embrace “Warm” being the first love song from the mind of Moncrieff because it hits every element of what makes the classics stick out in my mind. One could easily place this on a shelf with grandiose musical gifts from the likes of Whitney and Celine, and it’d fit right in. It’s no wonder this Irish-born singer-songwriter has already found himself performing with Grammy-winner Adele.

When “Warm” opens up, it sent me back to Sadie Jean’s “WYD Now?” in the way it was paced but as things started to develop it went from this catchy pop song to an elevated vocal moment. Much like I’ve come to expect from artists like VINCENT as both bring so much more vibrato to their pop performances than we deserve, but we’re always grateful they do. Stunning vocals aside, Moncrieff serves lyrically as you can’t help but fall in love with every line. I mean, “You can pour holy water over all of my flaws.” Those who find themselves enamored with top-tier songwriting will be left gagged when it comes to the imagery and poignancy of every word Moncrieff delivers.

The good news that comes with the release of “Warm” is that it’s just the beginning of what promises to be an astounding year for Moncrieff. Come Spring 2022 he’ll follow up ‘The Class of 2020’ with a brand new one. To catch up on what you’ve been missing from Moncrieff, make sure to check out “Warm” and more from this dynamic artist on all major music and streaming sites now.
