“Paper Vows” – Mr Little Jeans

Many have found their way to music careers covering mainstream tracks. Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes both took their vocal skills to YouTube and their versions of hit songs eventually led to worldwide success. Now artists like Mr Little Jeans is set to follow suit because while her renditions of songs from Beyonce and Arcade Fire may’ve been why many started to pay attention, it’s been her original music that’s kept them wanting more since her 2014 debut. That includes her latest single, “Paper Vows.”

Even though Mr Little Jeans reps Norway, “Paper Vows” made me a little homesick for Los Angeles. There was something very driving through the City of Angels on a clear night about this song. Perhaps it was the cool, seductive way she opened it and bounced back and forth between that vibe and choruses that presented this sort of pop-inspired daydream. Whatever it was, I felt embraced by a home I left not too long ago, and that made a smile sweep across my face as the wave of electropop crashed over me where I sat.

“Paper Vows” is Mr Little Jeans second single of 2021. It follows the release of “Jump to Fall” as the first batch of new songs she has dropped since 2018. We can only hope there is more to come as we head into 2022 from this spirited singer-songwriter. You can check out “Paper Vows,” and all the rest of Mr Little Jeans’ releases, on all major music and streaming sites now.
