“Sad Boy” R3HAB x Jonas Blue feat. Ava Max and Kylie Cantrall

It wasn’t too long ago that EDM music resided in the underground scene, raves out in the middle of nowhere. Then somewhere around the turn of the 21st century, mainstream audiences finally started to take notice and respect. Today, EDM music is ingrained into our musical landscape, woven seamlessly into the charts alongside hip hop, pop, and rock. That is in part due to DJs like R3HAB and Jonas Blue; powerhouses in their field. Now they’ve decided to not only combine their creative forces on “Sad Boy,” but have brought along Ava Max and Kylie Cantrall for the ride.

It doesn’t take long for the musical hook to capture one’s attention at the press of play. A combination of audible moments that ground and hype the track right up until the end are then joined by “Sweet But Psycho” singer Ava Max, and Kylie Cantrall in her first post-Disney debut highlighting that she is ready for the next chapter in her own career. R3HAB and Jonas Blue’s musical foundation will make audiences move about, while Ava and Kylie give pristine pop performances. This is one of those songs you could envision taking over the club scene and being a fan favorite at festivals.

Festivals that are surely waiting to be booked as R3HAB is an EDM mainstay that has amassed almost one billion streams on Spotify to date. His partner in this, Jonas Blue, is also a heavy hitter with his own residency in Sin City. They knew what they were doing when they came together for “Sad Boy” and invited Ava Max and Kylie Cantrall to take the song to the next level.

“Sad Boy” is available now on all major music and streaming sites.
