“Blink Twice” – San Joseph

Whether it’s being lip synced on the main stage of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ or is being heard by millions tuning into ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ songs that inspire the body to move in miraculous and interpretive ways always make for the best types of pop songs. Which is exactly what “Blink Twice” by San Joseph is. It’s pop in the same way Dua Lipa is pop, but because of a distinctive voice that sets him apart from the pack as well as the way he delivers each line with an edge, this song does nothing but impress from start to finish.

Aside from the musical components that are on point, lyrically San Joseph paints a clear picture from the moment the first lines leaves his lips. It’s a story many can relate to. The tale told when someone leaves you but you can sense they aren’t happy, and you want them to know that you’ll still be there for them – all they need to do is give you a sign. It’s not a story we hear too often in music, so overall “Blink Twice” is a refreshing take in terms of songs that fall under the relationship umbrella.

Not too bad for a debut single. Yes, San Joseph came out of the gate ready to head straight to the top with a song that is undeniable, charming in all the right ways, and invigorates all those who hear it. Which, everyone can because “Blink Twice” is available on all major music and streaming sites now.
