“Offline” – Scott Lippitt ft. Yuccas

Let me tell you something, the chills and goosebumps I got from listening to “Offline” by Scott Lippitt ft. Yuccas is completely unmatched. Their earworm chorus shifts key changes so smoothly, I feel like it gave me the most euphoric feeling every time it came back on. This synthpop song has beautiful harmonies that make you feel like you want to lay down in a field somewhere on a sunny day with not a care in the world. The lyrics also encompasses this lighthearted feeling by offer a poignant commentary on the pervasive nature of digital distraction and the quest for authenticity in an increasingly virtual world. If you like artists like Steve Lacy and Tycho who create very intricate soundscapes, then this song might be your next fixation for a while.
