“Words (The Pisces Kid Remix)” – Aisyah

“Words (The Pisces Kid Remix)” by Aisyah is a high-energy, ethereal dance track for anybody who loves the intersection between soft and frenetic. As the spacey vocals coast through the forefront, the beat pulses with crisp drums and textural vocal samples. You can just feel the essence of this collaboration emanating from both sides—a splash of dreamy, singer-songwriter goodness and a helping of meticulous, groovy production. You’ll doubtlessly be hypnotized.

The aforementioned vocal samples pair with a cymbal-heavy drum groove to make up the intro. “How can I find the words to say,” Aisyah suddenly croons, inviting the full weight of the beat into the mix. Synths perform some delightfully off-kilter chords as Aisyah continues to utter the infectious hook. As we transition to a verse, the instrumentation becomes more sparse and restrained. Here, the vocals take center stage. In a display of control, breathy tone, and innate melodic sense, Aisyah serves up droves of imagery. Lyrically, this song is wonderfully poetic, but not so complex that you’d need to consider the words deeply to discern them. As far as electronic dance music goes, this is the perfect lyrical style—something accessible but beautiful.

Stay tuned for a sweet breakdown and an impressively delivered ending. Aisyah and The Pisces Kid came together to create a masterpiece of pop songwriting and production. If this sounds like it might be up your alley, give both of them a follow on your choice of social media! You’ll be glad you did!
