“whos this girl” – HUMM

“whos this girl” by HUMM is a indie-pop song that gives off the feeling of Fall of 2014. Back when you were in high school, scrolling on tumblr trying to curate your aesthetic when suddenly, a new girl comes into class that stops you dead in your tracks. There is a consistent theme floating through this song of experiencing love at first sight, and the situation almost feels too good to be true. “whos this girl” encompasses the feeling of being young again and being introspective about your new-found relationship with your new infatuation. HUMM’s youthful optimism and infectious, nostalgic yet contemporary melodies shines throughout the song.
