“The Ghosts I Know” by rakey

“The Ghosts I Know” starts off with a beautiful melodic arrangement that accompanies the start of rakey’s beautifully soft vocals.

This song tells the story of moving to a new place in able to escape the ghosts of her past. The songwriting is truly a masterpiece of emotions told by her vocal range.

She lifts up the chorus with an array of high pitched notes and goes back to her monotone range in the chorus. These artistic choices really help create a full journey for the listener.

The whole song captures such an honest essence and really paints a heartbreak story in a relatable way.
