“Rich Kids Ruin Everything” – Mod Sun

Listening to “Rich Kids Ruin Everything” by Mod Sun gave me instant flashbacks to being 16 and penning a song called “Pretty Princess” about the privileged girls at school who thought they were rebellious because they had a tee from Hot Topic. Anyone who’s ever been in that situation or anything remotely similar can attest to every line, hook, and sinker in the latest from this pop-punk maestro.

“Rich Kids Ruin Everything” is the first single of 2022 from Mod Sun, and his first since a little album that dropped last year called, ‘Internet Killed The Rockstar.’ Streamed only over 100 million times, fans could not get enough of songs like the infectious “Karma” and breathtaking “Flames” featuring Avril Lavigne, who he’ll be on tour with in May 2022. Fans heading out to that will be able to hear this modern-day take on what Good Charlotte did with “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” 20 years ago. Only between then and now the idea of fame has changed, with influencers claiming the spotlight online, to which Mod Sun points a finger at with his newest single.

Those who question the celebrity of rich people who seem to have nothing behind their fame but money will be quick to sing along to this one, but also those who are looking to feel like they were spending a day at Warped Tour once more will feel that summer sun embrace with this one.

To hear “Rich Kids Ruin Everything” by Mod Sun, make sure to check it and more out on all major music and streaming sites today.
