“RADON” by GHYST

GHYST just released their track “RADON” on January 28, 2026. This single serves as a really strong release to cap off the first month of the year.

What can’t be said about how phenomenal GHYST is? Appearing on the scene last year, they have established themself in the scene of confident feminine pop along the lines of Ashnikko, Lilyisthatyou, and Poppy. That being said, they have more of a hardcore edge that gives a stronger sense of rage to things.

“RADON” is no outlier to this vibe. Its glitchy synths and bass drum drive give it a lot of underlying grit, and it has a rhythm that finds a line between unique and catchy. It’s loud, aggressive, and in listeners’ faces. And it does this sound so right. It’s a bit industrial with some EDM influence, and there’s a great thrash that meshes well with the rushed tempo. Also, the vocals breach the lines of being scream rap at times. Any enjoyer of the prior artists mentioned will find something in this track that’s fresh to them, but the basis makes it a perfect fit for their playlists. “RADON” breaches the boundaries of genre in a unique way, and in doing so, it shows artistry at its finest.

This is a track with a lot of grit when it comes to the lyrics. It was written due to a dream that GHYST had, in which they gassed their terrible ex. In doing so, it builds into something dark and brooding, but it’s also dashed with a sense of self-confidence. It paints scenes with tons of anger and a creatively written horror undertone. Sometimes, mistreatment can push someone to their limit, and this track takes the idea of responding to that limit and turns it up to 11.

“RADON” is a release that isn’t to be missed!
