“Not Like This” – NEVE

Pop obsessed since as far back as she can remember, NEVE has been caught in more than a few daydreams about her own career over the years and now she is taking giant leaps toward making them a reality. NEVE is taking it upon herself to explore the heartache and breaks of dating and love in the 21st century on her upcoming debut EP, ‘Modern Romance.’ She’s already given a taste of what’s to come with her lead single, “Guy Friends,” and now explores the post-breakup purgatory with “Not Like This.”

“Not Like This” takes us to the depths of that moment where you find yourself no longer with someone but at the same time not wanting them to be ready to move on. Which, let’s face it – someone is always more ready to find love again than the other. It just sucks to be the one left on the sideline watching their ex smile with another. NEVE captures all of that and then some in her latest single that’d fit nicely on a playlist between Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo. She masterfully balances her downward spiral more demurely in the verses before popping with vibrant choruses that will be the earworm stuck in the heads of all who hear.

NEVE has spent a lifetime digesting pop and it shows in her execution. So far she’s dropped a pair of singles from her 2022 debut, ‘Modern Romance,’ and if they are any indication of what’s to come – we may have a new rising pop star in our midst. So if you have the likes of Baby Queen and Dua Lipa already on your Spotify, make some room for NEVE by checking her out on all major music and streaming platforms today.
