“Lets Do Drugs” – NOBRO

“Lets Do Drugs” by NOBRO takes you on a high-speed, fast-paced wild pop-punk ride filled with a (debatably) bad, but invigorating slogan, “Lets Do Drugs!!” Their lyrics are nostalgic for a time in the 90s when there was abundant recklessness, and throwing caution to the wind during a simpler and more carefree time. There seems to be a deep impulsive desire to escape reality and recapture a feeling of euphoria and excitement, even if it brings unintended consequences like itchiness and certain melancholy. NOBRO’s song is relatable to those who tend to feel a sense of disillusionment as they grow older in adulthood. The yearning to “do drugs” represents more than just reckless, impulsive decisions, it represents people who feel like the excitement of life faded with time, and are trying to hold onto it as much as possible.
